Is a Naturopathic doctor the same as a homeopath?
No. Naturopathic medicine encompasses the entire spectrum of natural medicine of which homeopathy is just one part. Homeopathy is a system which uses extremely small doses of natural substances to stimulate the body’s own ability to heal, and thus is based on many of the same principles as naturopathy. Homeopaths often only prescribe homeopathic medicine whereas Naturopathic Doctors use homeopathy as well as many other therapies. So homeopathy can be part of an ND’s treatment plan, but it’s not the only tool in the shed. That said, other medical providers may use homeopathy as well, and it does not make them Naturopathic Doctors.
Is there a difference between a ‘naturopath’ and a naturopathic doctor?

Always check that the practitioner you are seeing is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Manitoba before booking your first appointment.
